Former Manchester United loan star Marcel Sabitzer has reportedly opened the door for a Bayern Munich exit this summer, as he is edging near to a move to Borussia Dortmund.
The 29-year-old impressed during a short stint at Old Trafford last term, but United opted to move onto other midfield targets this summer instead of a permanent move for the Austrian captain.
Borussia Dortmund leading race for Marcel Sabitzer
Sabitzer looks set to end his stay at the German champions this summer, and he has opened the door for a switch to Bundesliga rivals Borussia Dortmund.
A deal looks extremely close, according to Florian Plettenberg, who revealed on Monday morning that the midfielder will join up with his teammates on their U.S. tour later this week.
Sabitzer has reportedly signed a four-year deal at Dortmund, with the German club paying a total of $28 million, including add-ons.
The Austrian could make his debut for his new club against Manchester United in Las Vegas on July 31.
