Ousmane Dembele has agreed a deal in principle to join Paris Saint-Germain ahead of a $55m transfer from Barcelona.
The 26-year-old French international has been widely inconsistent during his time at the Nou Camp with persistent hamstring injuries limiting Dembele’s progress.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Dembele has verbally agreed a five-year deal with the Parisians which would see the winger return to his homeland after seven years away.

However, the transfer will have to be completed quickly, with Dembele’s release clause of $55m set to expire today. Barca would be keen on a sale and have already lined up a move for Manchester City full-back Joao Cancelo with the funds that will be created by Dembele’s switch.
Barca boss Xavi Hernandez had been adamant that he wants to keep Dembele. Still, with fellow wingers Ferran Torres, Raphinha, and Ansu Fati also on the books at the Nou Camp, president Joan Laporta has decided to push through a transfer with the cash-strapped club needing to sell players before they can buy this summer.
