MLS outfit LA Galaxy have signed winger Diego Fagundez from Austin FC as the MLS transfer window slams shut at midnight Central Time tonight.
Austin will receive midfielder Memo Rodriguez in exchange as well as up to $900,000 including add-ons. Fagundez led Austin to their first-ever Western Conference final last year- notching 17 goals and 18 assists in 95 appearances in all competitions for The Verde and Black.

LA Galaxy snap up Uruguayan Diego Fagundez
The creatively minded Fagundez will relieve the burden currently on attacking midfielder Riqui Puig, designated player Douglas Costa and ex-USMNT winger Tyler Boyd.
The Galaxy are operating under a summer window ban where they cannot sign players from abroad but can register players from other MLS sides- just as in the case of Fagundez- and can acquire international free agents as well.
The five times MLS Cup champions currently sit 13th in the Western Conference and are seven points below the playoff line.
