Turkish giants Beskitas have opened talks over the free transfer of former Liverpool star Alex Oxalde-Chamberlain.

The England international left Anfield at the end of the 2022-23 season after his contract at the club expired.

The 29-year-old has been subject to a number of offers from around Europe this summer, and it is believed that he is still weighing up his options.

However, the latest reports in the Express have claimed that the former Liverpool star is now in advanced talks over a potential switch to Besiktas.

Oxlade-Chamberlain enjoyed a stellar six seasons at Anfield, where he was part of the team that won the 2019 Champions League and the Premier League in 2020.

However, injuries have restricted his minutes in recent seasons, and he made just nine Premier League appearances last term.

The midfielder has also played for England on 35 occasions, scoring seven goals. He was previously the second youngest player to represent the Three Lions at the EUROs, before that record was overtaken by Jude Bellingham.
