Moises Caicedo transfer saga rumbles on
Chelsea were believed to be the front-runners for the Brighton star, but they saw an opening bid turned down. However, The Athletic is now reporting that an unnamed club has offered more than Chelsea’s opening offer for Caicedo.
It has since been reported that the $88 million offer to Brighton for their 21-year-old star has been turned down.
The latest developments could spark a response from Chelsea, as the Blues have made the midfielder their main target throughout the summer transfer window.
However, the fee remains a sticking point, with Brighton demanding at least $108 million to part ways with one of their stars from the 2022-23 season.
