Manchester United have opened talks with Real Sociedad over the sale of Donny van de Beek.
The Spanish club has moved to the front of the queue in the race to sign the Dutchman, and United are keen to offload the midfielder in order to finance a deal for Sofyan Amrabat.
Real Sociedad in talks over Donny van de Beek deal
Van de Beek revealed during pre-season that his future could lie away from Old Trafford. The midfielder is keen to play regular matches, as he bids to force his way back into the Netherlands squad for next summer’s EUROs.
United are open to offers for the 26-year-old, and Real Sociedad have begun talking to the Red Devils, according to the Daily Mail.
Van de Beek signed for United in a $40 million deal from Ajax in 2020. However, he has failed to hold down a place in the Red Devils team, and was loaned out to Everton for the second half of the 2021-22 season.
