New Paris Saint-Germain head coach Luis Enrique has dismissed speculation he is set to resign without taking charge of a competitive match for the club.
The 53-year-old Spanish coach has reportedly been left dissatisfied by the current situation involving star forward Kylian Mbappe after being given promises by president Nasser Al-Khelaifi that the World Cup winner would stay at the club beyond next summer.
Luis Enrique will stay at PSG
Speaking to Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, a Paris Saint-Germain spokesman said of the speculation, “Today’s rumors are as ridiculous as they are completely out of place.”

And the former Barcelona and Spain national team coach then took to Instagram to quash any remaining talk around his future, posting a photograph of himself alongside members of his backroom staff with a message saying, “All for one and one for all”.
Enrique only took over as the head coach of the Ligue 1 champions four weeks ago following the dismissal of Frenchman Christophe Galtier- signing a two-year contract with the Parisians.
