Nottingham Forest are still in the market for a goalkeeper this summer, and recent reports have claimed that the East Midlands club are in advanced talks with Kasper Schmeichel.
Forest are still in talks with Manchester United over a deal for Dean Henderson, while a deal that will see Matt Turner move to the City Ground is also reportedly very close.
Kasper Schmeichel open to Premier League return
However, reports at EuroSport Denmark have claimed that Forest are also in talks with Schmeichel over a return to England. Reports over the weekend claimed that two English clubs were interested in the former Leicester City goalkeeper.
Nice are willing to offload the 36-year-old this summer, despite the star playing 36 matches for the club following his switch in 2022.
Schmeichel is no stranger to the Premier League, as he won the competition during his eleven-year stay at the King Power Stadium.
The Danish goalkeeper made over 470 appearances during his time at Leicester, and was part of the FA Cup winning team in 2021.
