Manchester United manager Erik Ten Hag has written up a three-man shortlist of central defenders to replace West Ham United-bound Harry Maguire.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Red Devils are considering moves for Bayern Munich defender Benjamin Pavard, as well as Burkina Faso international Edmond Tapsoba and Jean-Clair Todibo from French club Nice.

Man United back in market for new center-back
As reported earlier today, talks have already taken place between United and Nice over their first-choice target Todibo. However, if a deal can not be struck with the French Riviera side, Ten Hag is more than happy to settle for either Pavard- who is particularly keen on a move to Old Trafford this summer- or highly-rated 24-year-old Tapsoba, currently plying his trade at Bayern Leverkusen.
Romano also reports that United’s youth academy prospect Teden Mengi has been the subject of a loan bid from French Ligue 2 side Amiens with talks ongoing.
