Manchester United have set their sights on Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard as a replacement for West Ham-bound Harry Maguire.
The Red Devils have been monitoring the defender since the January window, with Erik ten Hag a huge fan of the French World Cup winner.
Benjamin Pavard open to United switch
Pavard was of interest to Man City earlier in the transfer window, but their interest cooled after it was determined that Kyle Walker would remain at the club.
However, that piqued Pavard’s interest in a move to the Premier League, and the Red Devils are open to paying the $30 million asking price set by Bayern Munich, according to L’Equipe.
The move would see the 27-year-old reunited with French teammate Raphael Varane. Pavard’s ability to play at both central defense and right-back is considered a huge plus for ten Hag, and a move could be made following the sale of Maguire.
