Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe has reiterated his desire to stay at the club for the upcoming season as his contract continues to run down.
The 24-year-old striker, widely regarded as one of the world’s greatest players, has informed club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi of the news after picking up a huge loyalty bonus worth over $66m on August 1 due to his six years at the club.
Kylian Mbappe to remain at PSG for now
According to French newspaper Le Parisien, the Parisians explained to Mbappe that he would be deprived of playing time this season if he stuck to his decision after being told to train with the reserves following a public row with the club last month.
The long-term future of Mbappe is still under huge scrutiny, however, with all signs pointing towards a move to Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer when his current deal at the Parc des Princes runs out.
