Liverpool midfielder Thiago Alcantara has turned down several offers from Saudi Arabia to stay at Anfield for the upcoming season.
The 32-year-old midfielder has been a success story for Jurgen Klopp since his arrival in 2020 and is one of the few central midfielders to survive last season after the Reds finished a disappointing fifth.
Thiago Alcantara set for Reds stay
Despite rumors linking Alcantara with a move to Sevilla and Saudi Pro League side Al Ahli in a deal worth $13.25m, the experienced midfielder is set to stay on Merseyside this season.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Thiago is solely focused on the season ahead at Anfield. The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich ace is set to form a midfield partnership with new signings Alexis Mac Allister and Dominik Szoboszlai this season as the Reds look to better last season’s showing which saw them finish a massive 22 points behind eventual Premier League champions Manchester City.
