Paris Saint-Germain star Kylian Mbappe has been left out of the squad for his side’s opening Ligue 1 fixture against Lorient tomorrow night.
Speaking to the world’s media ahead of the match, new PSG head coach Luis Enrique today said, “It was already a situation that had happened in the past. I hope for an agreement between the club and Kylian. It’s something that I would like very much.”

Mbappe was part of a very public fall-out with PSG president Nasser Al Khelaifi last month regarding speculation the French World Cup winner had agreed a deal in private to move to Real Madrid next summer as a free agent when his contract at the Parc des Princes comes to an end.
More recently, the 24-year-old was then asked to train with the reserves by club officials after informing the club of his desire to stay at the reigning Ligue 1 champions for the upcoming 2023-24 season.
