Turkish Super Lig side Besiktas have signed former Liverpool and Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on a three-year contract.
The former England international, who will turn 30 tomorrow, has committed his future to the Istanbul giants after being released by Reds boss Jurgen Klopp at the end of June and will hope to kickstart a career that suddenly went stale on Merseyside.

The free agent moved to Liverpool from Arsenal in 2017 for a fee worth over $40m and was initially a key part of the Liverpool squad which reached the Champions League final in his first season at the club.
However, injuries hampered Oxlade-Chamberlain’s progress at Anfield, and the central midfielder was deemed surplus to requirements this summer alongside fellow injury-prone former star Naby Keita.
The news was announced by the club’s official website this morning and will see Oxlade-Chamberlain wear his favored number 15 jersey once more next season for The Black Eagles’ after proving his fitness to Turkish head coach Senol Gunes.
