Brighton & Hove Albion look set to add to their options in the left-back position, as they are set to put forward a bid for Valentin Barco.

The Seagulls are looking to add to their full-back options, and Roberto De Zerbi is a huge admirer of Barco.

The report in Brighton Argus claim that the Seagulls are set to offer Boca Juniors $12 million for their talented teenage full-back.

The offer would meet the release clause in the 19-year-old’s contract, enabling Brighton to talk directly to the player over a switch to the Premier League.

Barco is a highly regarded full-back in Argentina, and was named among the ‘Next Generation’ list assembled by The Guardian in 2021.

The 19-year-old has played 14 times for Boca Juniors since signing his first professional deal in 2021. He has also made two appearances for the Argentina U20s.
