Japanese international Wataru Endo is currently undergoing a medical ahead of a dream move to Premier League giants Liverpool.
The 30-year-old Stuttgart captain made 40 appearances in a struggling side that just managed to stay in the Bundesliga last season and has only one year remaining on his current contract.
Wataru Endo set for Anfield switch
Endo was given permission by Stuttgart to travel to Merseyside after a fee of $20m was agreed between the two clubs last night. According to David Ornstein, Liverpool want to get a deal done quickly in order for the highly-regarded defensive midfielder to have a chance of playing a part in their first home match of the new season against Bournemouth on Saturday.

Liverpool have been desperate to strengthen their midfield after losing club captain Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to the Saudi Pro League this summer. Endo joined Stuttgart in the summer of 2020 and has made 50 appearances for the Japanese national team.
