Newcastle United will step up their pursuit for a new left-back over the coming days, as they are set to make a move for Chelsea’s Lewis Hall.
The English defender remains one of the club’s most exciting prospects, but they could be willing to listen to offers in the region of $36 million, according to the Telegraph.
Chelsea open to Lewis Hall sale
The Blues would reportedly be happy to keep their youth academy star, but they could be forced to do a deal in order to comply with FFP rules.
Newcastle have been in the market for a left-back all summer, with Kieran Tierney previously being linked with a move to St. James Park.
However, the Gunners are currently in the process of determining whether to sell the Scott following the season-ending injury sustained by Jurrien Timber.
Hall made nine Premier League appearances for the Blues last term, and was awarded their Academy Player of the Year award.
