German giants Bayern Munich have identified Israeli international Daniel Peretz as a potential long-term replacement for club captain and first-choice goalkeeper Manuel Neuer.
According to Israeli TV broadcaster Sport5, Bayern have agreed to offer a four-year contract to the young shot-stopper who has already established himself as Maccabi Tel Aviv’s number one.
Daniel Peretz set for Bayern switch?
As reported earlier this week, Bayern head coach Tuchel is extremely keen on bringing in a new high-class goalkeeper and the Bundesliga champions have been linked with Manchester City’s Stefan Ortega and out-of-contract David De Gea this week.
But with Ortega seemingly destined to stay at City this season, and Tuchel vetoing a move for De Gea, Bayern are reportedly set to offer up to $6.5m for the 23-year-old with personal terms already agreed according to Italian journalist Luca Bendoni.

Peretz also holds a German passport due to his Ashkenazi Jewish ancestors and saved two penalties this summer against Germany in this summer’s UEFA European Under-21 Championships.
