Chelsea have turned their attention to fresh attacking options after being turned down by Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise.
The Blues could be set to make a move for Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson, according to The Guardian.
Chelsea add Brennan Johnson to transfer options
Mauricio Pochettino is looking to add a winger to his squad this summer, and Johnson is among their top targets following Michael Olise’s decision to extend his contract at Crystal Palace.
However, the Blues could face competition to secure the services of the 22-year-old, with both Tottenham and Brentford also interested in the Welsh international.
Nottingham Forest would like to keep one of their star players, but they would be willing to listen to offers if the $48 million valuation is met.
Johnson was one Forest’s standout players last term, as the 22-year-old scored eight goals and registered three assists in 38 Premier League outings.
