Premier League giants Liverpool have completed their third transfer of the summer after signing Wataru Endo from Stuttgart for $20m.
The experienced Endo, 30, had his move announced by the club’s official website this afternoon and will become Jurgen Klopp’s first-choice holding midfielder after missing out on defensive midfield targets Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia to Chelsea.

Speaking of his move, Japanese international Endo said, “I’m very happy and I’m so excited to join a big club in Liverpool. It feels amazing and this is my dream. It’s a dream come true for me.”
Endo has made exactly 50 appearances for the Japanese international side and will help a top-heavy Liverpool midfield which looked disorganized in the 1-1 draw with Chelsea last Sunday.
The fast-moving transfer was rushed through in order for the former Stuttgart captain to be registered in time for the Reds’ Premier League fixture against Bournemouth at Anfield tomorrow.
Endo will wear the number three shirt he wore at Stuttgart vacated by Fabinho’s departure to the Saudi Pro League this summer.
