Manchester City’s move for West Ham United midfielder Lucas Paqueta is on the verge of collapsing this afternoon.
The 25-year-old has already agreed personal terms with the Cityzens but the two clubs are still far apart in their evaluation of Paqueta.
Lucas Paqueta set for West Ham stay?
The Brazilian international was a crucial part of West Ham’s run to winning the UEFA Conference League last season and his creativity from central midfield would prove invaluable during Kevin De Bruyne’s absence away from the first-team squad with a hamstring injury.
According to Fabrizio Romano, negotiations are currently off between City and West Ham with the Hammers not budging from their whopping $108m asking fee.

City, who have already strengthened their midfield this summer with the signing of Mateo Kovacic, are expected to now walk away from the table in a sudden U-turn.
Pep Guardiola has identified to the club that he also still wants a winger this summer and with less than two weeks left of the transfer window, a bid for Jeremy Doku from Rennes is now expected to be City director of football Txiki Begiristain’s number one priority.
