Everton look set to add some much-needed firepower to their forward line, as the club are close to reaching an agreement with Southampton for Che Adams.
The Saints are set to receive nearly $20 million from the Toffees for the striker, according to the latest reports at the Telegraph.
Everton close to signing Che Adams
The forward position looks like an area that Everton needs to strengthen, as they have struggled in the final third in each of their opening two matches.
Everton also saw Dominic Calvert-Lewin leave the field before half time in their second match of the season against Aston Villa on Sunday.
The 27-year-old has started the season in excellent form for Southampton, as he has netted three goals in three Championship appearances.
Adams has been at Southampton since signing from Birmingham City in 2019. In five seasons with the club, the striker has scored 34 goals in 149 games across all competitions.
He also scored five goals in 28 Premier League appearances last season as the Saints were relegated to the second tier.
