Manchester United central defender Victor Lindelof is not interested in a move to French club Rennes this summer.
Lindelof, 29, has lost his place as a first-choice starter since the arrival of Lisandro Martinez last summer but head coach Erik Ten Hag is keen on keeping the Swedish international as a strong backup option in the case of any injuries.
Victor Lindelof set for Man United stay?
According to Fabrizio Romano, Ten Hag has no intention of letting Lindelof leave Old Trafford this month despite only 20 Premier League appearances last term. However, Rennes are not thought to be the only club interested in the experienced defender who is still favored over former club captain Harry Maguire by Ten Hag.

It would be the Dutchman’s preference to bring in one more central defender before the end of the month but Ten Hag will need to find a buyer for Maguire in order to fund a late summer deal.
