Romelu Lukaku is currently training away from the first team with Chelsea’s under-21 side as his Stamford Bridge nightmare hits a new low.
The 30-year-old hitman has been a prolific striker for over a decade in England and Italy but according to The Daily Telegraph’s Matt Law, the Blues are stuck in a game of brinksmanship with their one-time record signing as they face a race against time to get him off their books.

Romelu Lukaku stuck at Chelsea
Despite initial interest from Inter Milan and Juventus earlier this summer, prospective buyers for Lukaku are thin on the ground. Juve have not completely moved away from the idea of signing the Belgian although a transfer would hugely depend on Lukaku lowering his current wage demands and the Old Lady finding a buyer for struggling Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic.
The Blues are not keen on the idea of a swap move between Lukaku and Vlahovic but remain hopeful of finding a solution for the former Manchester United frontman. Law also reports that Lukaku has not even spoken to head coach Mauricio Pochettino since the Argentinian took over in June with the club worried that Lukaku’s re-integration at Chelsea would cause unnecessary distractions and disruption within the first-team squad.
