Inter Milan have reached an agreement with Bayern Munich to sign versatile defender Benjamin Pavard from under the noses of Manchester United.
Pavard, 27, is desperate to leave Germany this summer and is looking for a new challenge after winning four consecutive Bundesliga titles with Bayern since his arrival from Stuttgart in 2019.
Benjamin Pavard set for Inter Milan switch?
According to Fabrizio Romano, a move for Pavard was agreed last night after Simeone Inzaghi identified the French World Cup winner to be his first-choice defensive target internally to club officials.

Pavard is expected to travel to Milan in the next 24 hours to complete a medical by Thursday after reaching an agreement in principle to sign for the Nerazzuri. The move is supposedly worth $32.7m plus an additional $3.3m in add-ons and will be confirmed by the Bavarians once they find a suitable replacement for a defender whose versatility will be a huge loss to Thomas Tuchel this season.
Manchester United were also huge admirers of Pavard but after failing to sell Harry Maguire to West Ham, the Red Devils were unable to find room in the squad to make an approach for the Frenchman.
