Liverpool look set to offer Manchester City outcast Kalvin Phillips a route out of the Etihad Stadium.
The Reds are weighing up their options, as Jurgen Klopp is keen to bring in a new midfielder before the transfer deadline. However, Liverpool could face competition from Bayern Munich to secure a deal, according to 90Min.
Liverpool interested in move for Kalvin Phillips
The Reds are still in the market for a midfielder this summer, as they look vulnerable in that position following the departures of Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.
Klopp is a huge admirer of Phillips, and previously tried to sign the midfielder after it emerged that he was heading toward the exit door at Leeds United.
The 27-year-old swapped Yorkshire for Manchester in 2022, but has played a limited role under Pep Guardiola. The midfielder played just 21 times across all competitions in City’s treble-winning campaign last term.
