Sheffield United have opened talks with Manchester United over a potential loan move for Facundo Pellistri.
The Red Devils are reportedly open to loaning out their winger, according to the Telegraph, despite the Uruguayan playing a role in United’s second match of the season against Tottenham.
Facundo Pellistri could be set for loan switch
The Blades are desperate to bring in reinforcements in the final third of the field this summer after struggling in their opening two matches of the Premier League season.
Pellistri impressed for Man United during their pre-season tour of the United States, and there was an expectation that he would be given more game time at Old Trafford this term.
The 21-year-old joined Under for $14 million in the summer of 2020, but he has spent the two seasons on loan at Alaves.
The winger played a sporadic role at United last term, as he made just ten appearances across all competitions. However, he has featured in each of United’s opening two league matches this season.
