Arsenal have set their asking price as $60 million for in-demand USA international Folarin Balogun.
Chelsea have stepped up their interest in the 22-year-old, as they look for a new striker following issues in front of goal over the opening weeks of the season.
Chelsea in the hunt for Folarin Balogun
It remains to be seen whether the Blues will make an official approach for the USA international, but they have sounded out the player in talks with the Gunners, according to the Evening Standard.
The 22-year-old had been a long-standing target for AS Monaco and Inter Milan throughout the summer, but neither have yet met the valuation set by the Gunners.
Balogun enjoyed a sensational campaign last term, as he netted 21 goals and registered two assists in 37 Ligue 1 matches with Reims. His performances saw him called up for the USA national team for the first time in July.
