Bayern Munich have snapped up highly-rated Daniel Peretz from Maccabi Tel Aviv on a long-term contract.
The Bavarians’ search for a competitive backup for injury-prone club captain Manuel Neuer looks like it has finally come to an end after Thomas Tuchel looked into signing Kepa Arrizabalaga, David De Gea, and Manchester City’s Stefan Ortega.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Peretz will cost the Bundesliga champions $5.4m and will sign a five-year deal after the conclusion of Maccabi Tel Aviv’s Europa Conference League Play Off first leg against Slovenian side Celje on Thursday.

Maccabi want their number one to play for them for one final time as they aim to qualify for Europe following a disappointing third-place finish in the Israeli Premier League last term.
Following the conclusion of Thursday’s match, Peretz will travel to Munich to undergo a medical after which his signing will be confirmed by the club.
