Premier League side Brentford have submitted a new offer for Fiorentina wing-wizard Nicolas Gonzalez.
The 25-year-old Argentinian international has been in fine form for La Viola over the past 12 months and has established himself as one of Serie A’s best wingers since his arrival from Stuttgart in 2021.
Nicolas Gonzalez wanted by Brentford
The Bees have already had one bid turned down for the creative midfielder, who prefers to cut in from the right-hand side on his favored left foot. According to Fabrizio Romano, Brentford’s improved offer for Gonzalez is worth more than $45m- which would smash Thomas Frank’s side’s current record transfer fee.

Fiorentina are under no pressure to sell Gonzalez after being heavily backed by American billionaire Rocco Commisso and selling star striker Arthur Cabral to Benfica earlier this month.
However, Gonzalez has reportedly been offered a huge improvement on his current salary at the Stadio Artemio Franchi by Brentford which could prove the deciding factor.
Gonzalez was once again front and center to La Viola’s success at the weekend and scored an emphatic header in his side’s comfortable 4-1 win at Genoa on Saturday.
