It is believed that Fluminense are reluctant to sanction the sale, as they are still competing across numerous competitions. The Brazilian club is more likely to be open to a sale in January.

The Reds are desperately looking for reinforcements this summer after allowing Jordan Henderson and Fabinho to move to Saudi Arabia.

Liverpool had identified both Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia, but both midfielders rejected the Reds in favor of a move to Chelsea.
