Liverpool have reignited their interest in Bayer Leverkusen defender Piero Hincapie.
The Reds are continuing their search for a new central defender, as they look to bring in at least one more player before the transfer deadline next Friday.
Liverpool set to make Piero Hincapie bid
Jurgen Klopp is set to make another move for a Bundesliga player before the end of the transfer deadline, as FourFourTwo is claiming that the Reds are ready to make a bid for Hincapie.
However, the Reds will need to spend big to get the deal over the line, as Leverkusen will demand at least $70 million for their talented central defender.
The Ecuadorian 21-year-old has been at Leverkusen since 2021, and has represented his national side on 27 occasions, scoring once.
Hincapie made 42 appearances for Leverkusen across all competitions last term, and was a key part of their central defense. However, the Bundesliga side could be open to the sale if their valuation is matched.
