Arsenal expect Rob Holding to leave the Emirates Stadium this week after falling down the pecking order under Mikel Arteta.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the Gunners are in talks with an unnamed Spanish club following the long-awaited return to fitness of stand-out French defender William Saliba.

Rob Holding set to leave Arsenal
With Holding deemed surplus to requirements, the Manchester-born central defender is keen to kickstart a career that has stuttered over the past two years due to persistent injuries.
Holding was signed by former Gunners boss Arsene Wenger back in 2016 from Bolton Wanderers but in seven seasons has only appeared in over half of Arsenal’s Premier League matches just once- during the Covid-affected 2020-2021 season.
During his time in the red and white of Arsenal, Holding has won two FA Cups and three Community Shield winners medals.
