Eden Hazard is expected to announce his retirement in the coming days after rejecting three separate offers from Ligue 1 clubs.
The 32-year-old has been without a club since leaving Real Madrid after having his contract terminated a year early by Los Blancos in June.
Eden Hazard set to retire
According to Foot Mercato writer Dahbia Hattabi, several intermediaries have contacted Hazard to offer him a move to Marseille, Nice, and Lille but the wing-wizard has decided to reject them all with his wish being to retire from playing this month.
Just four years ago, Hazard was worth over $100m when he transferred from Chelsea to Real Madrid following his fourth Player of the Season award at Stamford Bridge becoming the Merengues’ most expensive player in its history.
Hazard’s entourage are reportedly trying to convince the winger to continue his playing career but at the moment his mind has been made up after struggling with injuries and a lack of form in the Spanish capital.
