Saudi Arabian side Al Shabab have reached an agreement over personal terms with Atletico Madrid forward Yannick Carrasco.
The versatile 29-year-old is currently in his second spell at Atletico since returning from Chinese Super League side Dalian Yifang and helped Los Colcheneros to their first La Liga title in six years in 2020.
Yannick Carrasco set for Saudi switch
Atleti are set to bid farewell to a number of players over the coming days as the club aims to trim Diego Simeone’s squad in what could prove to be another title-chasing season.
Carrasco has started this season in fine form and operated as a left wing back in Atleti’s 7-0 demolition of Rayo Vallecano on Monday. According to Santi Aouna, the Saudi side are yet to submit an offer for the Belgian international but are in no hurry with the Saudi transfer window not set to close until September 20.
