Chelsea are set to open talks with Manchester City over the signing of young forward Cole Palmer as their summer spending looks set to continue.
Palmer, 21, has played an influential part in City’s early start to the season, scoring in both the Community Shield and UEFA Super Cup finals this month.
Cole Palmer set for Stamford Bridge?
According to Fabrizio Romano, Palmer has been added to a list of talented young options who the Blues believe will strengthen their attack before the transfer window slams shut on Friday.

An England under-21 international, Manchester-born Palmer has had to wait patiently to get game time under Pep Guardiola but has recently paid back the Spaniard’s faith in him- especially with a man-of-the-match performance and goal against Sevilla in City’s eventual Super Cup penalty shootout success in Athens a fortnight ago.
It remains unclear if City will entertain any offers for one of their highest rated youngsters but Chelsea are set to go all out for the wide-forward in the next 48 hours.
