Chelsea have had their first bid for Manchester City starlet Cole Palmer rejected out of hand today.
As reported by Soccer Times earlier today, Palmer has jumped straight to the top of the list of Chelsea’s attacking targets, and head coach Mauricio Pochettino has now given two thumbs up to a move as well.

According to The Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg, Chelsea have had their first offer of $44.5m for the England under-21 international rejected immediately by last season’s treble winners with the Blues expected to come back with an improved bid immediately. City are thought to want a figure closer to $57.2m.

Palmer has played a big part in Pep Guardiola’s side’s season so far and scored in the UEFA Super Cup final and Community Shield final earlier this month.
