Folarin Balogun completes Monaco switch
Balogun returns to Ligue 1 after scoring an incredible 21 league goals last season for Reims whilst on loan from the Gunners last term.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the structure of the transfer fee will come in two installments with an initial $33m being paid up front to Mikel Arteta’s men.
The Gunners will keep a large sell-on fee clause, thought to be close to 20%, in Balogun’s contract at Monaco after developing the star forward at youth level following his family’s migration to London.
In June, Balogun made his international debut for the Stars and Stripes after the forward switched his allegiances from England, and scored in the final of the CONCACAF Nations League in a 2-0 win over neighbors Canada.
