Barcelona defender Eric Garcia is set to leave the Catalan giants after struggling for game time in Catalonia.

After falling down the pecking order under Xavi Hernandez, both player and club are now in agreement that a move away from Nou Camp will be best for all parties.

According to SPORT writer Alfredo Martinez, Garcia is being offered an escape route this summer by Italian clubs Roma, Fiorentina as well as Catalan rivals Girona.

The arrival this summer of Inigo Martinez has pushed the Spanish international further down the pecking order and with no game time in sight, Garcia is set to leave the club on a season-long loan in the next 48 hours.

There are reports that an unnamed English club are also willing to bring Garcia back to the Premier League after the 22-year-old left Manchester City in favor of a move to hometown club Barcelona two summers ago.
