Reigning Spanish champions Barcelona are in talks to sign LAFC center-back Mamadou Fall before the transfer window slams shut tomorrow.
In accordance with UEFA’s Financial Fair Play Regulations, the Catalan giants hope to secure Fall on a season-long loan with the option to buy at the end of the campaign.

Barcelona’s La Liga rivals Villarreal are also working hard to get a deal done after Fall spent last season on loan at the Yellow Submarine’s second team.
The 20-year-old is among the MLS’ highest-rated young players, and according to The Athletic’s American correspondent Tom Bogert, the Catalans remain confident they can arrange a deal before Friday.

The Senegalese stalwart has made 42 appearances in total for LAFC, including three since returning to California this summer.
If a deal is completed, it would not be the first time the Catalan giants have dipped into the MLS transfer market after Xavi Hernandez’s side snapped up Mexico international right-back Julian Araujo from LA Galaxy in the winter. Araujo is currently on loan at La Liga new boys Las Palmas.
