Brighton & Hove Albion are close to agreeing terms with Barcelona for the loan signing for Ansu Fati.

The Spanish giants are happy to allow the winger to leave on a short-term deal this summer, and Brighton appear to have won the race, according to Fabrizio Romano.

There was huge Premier League interest in the Barcelona winger, with Tottenham also among the clubs in talks with the Spanish champions.

However, Fati has accepted the proposal put forward by the Seagulls, as the player is keen to work with Roberto De Zerbi.

The reports claim that there is no option to buy in the loan deal, and Fati will return to the Nou Camp at the end of the 2023-24 season.

The Spanish winger played 36 times in La Liga for Barcelona last term, scoring seven goals and registering three assists.

He has also featured in three La Liga fixtures already this term for the Catalonian giants.
