Chelsea utility man Trevor Chalobah has seen his move to Bayern Munich stall with the Blues not prepared to budge from their asking price.
Chalobah, 24, has not appeared for Chelsea this season yet after struggling to shake off a persistent thigh problem and as reported earlier this week the Blues have slapped an astonishing $62m price tag over the former England under-21 international’s head.
Trevor Chalobah likely to stay at Chelsea
As things stand, therefore, a deal to take Chalobah to Bayern is a long way off with the Bavarians preferring the idea of a loan instead.
Chalobah is thought to want to make the move after Mauricio Pochettino brought in Axel Disasi earlier this summer from Monaco- a direct rival for Chalobah’s position.
Despite holding talks, discussions over the center-back have now stalled between the two clubs and Bayern are now expected to concentrate in putting their efforts into late moves for midfielders Joao Palhinha and Conor Gallagher before the end of the window.
