Manchester United were knocked back in their loan move for Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat on Wednesday.
However, the Red Devils still see the 27-year-old as their prime target in the midfield position before Friday’s deadline, according to the Mirror.
Man United likely to return with offer for Sofyan Amrabat
United made their first move for the midfielder on Wednesday evening, but their loan approach was knocked back by the Italian club.
The Red Devils wished to make the loan move, as they are struggling to comply with FFP regulations.
However, reports have indicated that the Serie A club would be willing to accept a loan move, if the Red Devils include an obligation to buy at the end of the season.
Amrabat has his sights set on a move to Old Trafford, and has been forced to train alone throughout the summer. According to reports, the Morrocan also turned down a move to Nottingham Forest earlier this week after a deal between the clubs had been agreed.
