Tottenham Hotspur and Bayern Munich are both interested in making late moves for Chelsea midfielder Conor Gallagher.
The England international captained the Blues last night in their narrow 2-1 win over AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup. However, as reported by The Guardian’s Jacob Steinberg, there is a strong chance of Gallagher leaving his boyhood club before the transfer window shuts on Friday night.
Conor Gallagher set for Spurs switch?
The Blues value Gallagher at $63.3m and it is unclear at this stage how much Spurs are willing to pay for Gallagher. As reported by Soccer Times, it is understood that the Lilywhites are more likely to focus their attention on making a last-ditch bid for Nottingham Forest’s Brennan Johnson with a new forward seen as their number one priority following the sale of Harry Kane earlier this month.
Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel is also a notable fan of Gallagher after the pair worked together when the German was in charge at Stamford Bridge until last year.
However, the Blues are unlikely to be convinced to send Gallagher on loan to Germany with Todd Boehly’s side preferring to sell the 23-year-old outright in order to help their case against UEFA’s Financial Fair Play Regulations.
