Tottenham Hotspur have grown frustrated in their pursuit of Brennan Johnson, and the North London club look set to shift their focus.
Spurs are still in the market for an attacking player this summer, and the North London club could be set to make a move for Crystal Palace’s Eberechi Eze, according to the Independent.
Spurs examine move for Eberechi Eze
Tottenham have been knocked back in their moves for Brennan Johnson and Ansu Fati in recent days. The latter has opted for a move to Brighton over a switch to North London.
Spurs remain keen on adding to their options in the final third, and a late move for Palace’s Eze is being explored.
However, a transfer at this late stage of the window appears difficult, as the Eagles have no intention to sell one of their brightest stars.
Spurs are also reluctant to pay the asking price for the 25-year-old, as the Eagles will likely demand a fee in the region of $60 million.
