Chelsea defender Trevor Chalobah has seen his move to Bavarian giants Bayern Munich collapse on the final day of the transfer window.
The Bavarians had held extensive talks with Chelsea over the former England under-21 international but that deal is now off after the deadline for players to be registered in Germany passed today at 5 PM BST (12 PM ET, 9 AM PT).

According to The Athletic’s Liam Twomey, Chelsea have also agreed a deal for Chalobah to move to Nottingham Forest although, as it stands, the defender is not keen on a move to the City Ground after suffering the disappointment at missing out on Champions League football at the Allianz Arena this season.

Chalobah is currently out injured with a recurring thigh injury but has fallen down the pecking order under head coach Mauricio Pochettino following the signing of Axel Disasi- a direct rival to Chalobah’s position in the team.
