Teenage American midfielder Adeteye Gbadehan has gone on trial at English Championship side Southampton.
The Saints are still reeling from their 5-0 loss to Sunderland at the weekend and are keen on bolstering central midfield after losing James Ward-Prowse and Romeo Lavia in the last few weeks of the transfer window.
Adeteye Gbadehan set for Saints switch?
According to The Athletic’s Tom Bogert and Jacob Tanswell, Gbadehan will feature in a behind close doors friendly for the Saints tonight after spending last week on trial at Premier League outfit Brentford.

The 19-year-old also obtains a British passport and decided not to join an MLS-affiliated academy after leaving high school. The 6ft 3in player featured for an American academy in his home state of Maryland called the Future SC Monarchs, where he won the 2021 Dallas Cup, a prestigious youth soccer tournament in the United States.
