Barcelona manager Xavi is set to sign a new contract extension after an impressive start to life as a head coach.
The 43-year-old returned to his former side in 2021 replacing Ronald Koeman and immediately implemented stricter rules for the club’s playing staff. In his first full term in charge last season, Xavi helped guide the Catalans to their first La Liga title in four years.

According to Fabrizio Romano, a new deal for Xavi was never under threat with his current contract set to expire at the end of the season.

Xavi will sign an extension until June 2025 with negotiations continuing to take place between the former club captain and the board.
A Barca legend on the pitch, Xavi returned to the club after a six-year spell in Qatar with Al Sadd- where he won the Stars League as both a player and a manager.
