Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been handed the opportunity to return to management, but he has knocked back an approach to take over the Norwegian Women’s National side.

According to reports in the Mirror, the former Manchester United boss has his sights set on a club move, preferably in England.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer turns down approach

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has been without a job since leaving his position at Manchester United two years ago.

The 50-year-old had been a front runner for both positions at Burnley and Leicester City, but rejected advances as he didn’t consider either club to be the right fit.

Speaking of the opportunity, Solskjaer revealed that he wouldn’t be taking a job for the ‘sake of working’.

The 50-year-old also opened the door for a potential return to United in some capacity.

Solskjaer led United to the final of the Europa League in 2021, but was sacked at the start of the following season after losing five of their opening 12 league matches.
