Premier League ‘Top Six’ side Tottenham are close to signing 16-year-old Croatian defender Luka Vuskovic from Hajduk Split.
According to London Evening Standard writer Nizaar Kinsella, Tottenham have beaten off competition from Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain for the commanding center-back.
Luka Vuskovic set to sign long-term deal at Tottenham
Personal terms are not thought to be a problem between Tottenham and Vuskovic, who broke into the first-team at Hadjuk Split despite only turning 16 in February, playing a key role in his side’s Croatian Cup triumph in the process.
Given his young age, Vuskovic is expected to stay in Split until he turns 18 to continue his development before arriving in North London. His move, therefore, is set to take place in the summer of 2025.
Vuskovic is expected to cost Ange Postecoglou’s side in the region of $15m- a record transfer sale for Croatian outfit Hajduk Split who currently sit top of the Croatian HNL table.
